Annelien Coorevits, 20, was crowned Miss Belgium on Dec. 18, 2006. She will compete at Miss World and possibly Miss Universe. The first runner-up was Halima Chehaima, 18, and the second runner-up was Elise van den Branden, 20. Nicole Jordan of Cordova, Tenn., was crowned Miss Memphis 2007 on Dec. 17, 2006. She will compete at the 2007 Miss Tennessee Scholarship Pageant, a preliminary to Miss America, in June 2007 in Jackson, Tenn. The first runner-up was Kayla Hockett, and the second runner-up was Brooke Poklemba. The third runner-up was Madeline Littrell, and the fourth runner-up was Shelby Grayson. Kristel Quon was named Miss Teen Memphis 2007, and Kaylee Prather became the first Miss Memphis Princess. They will represent the city of Memphis at the Tennessee Outstanding Teen competitions in March 2007. This was the 60th year for the Miss Memphis Pageant, the longest-running pageant in the state. Cara Gorges, 19, who competed as Miss Clearwater USA, was crowned Miss Kansas USA 2007 on Dec. 17, 2006, in Lawrence. The event made history as the first Miss USA state preliminary to be judged entirely by former pageant winners. The first runner-up was Destiny Bounds, 21, who was the evening wear winner. Megan Bushell, 24, was the second runner-up and interview winner. Kristen Conway, 20, was the third runner-up, and Tracee Stout, 26, was the fourth runner-up. Sarah Jump, 24, was the swimsuit winner. Lily Wu, 22, was Miss Congeniality. Lindsey McAnulty, 23, was the Photogenic winner, and Megan Price, 19, was the Mentor winner, chosen by the Teen contestants. Jaymie Stokes, 15, who competed as Miss Lenexa Teen USA, was crowned Miss Kansas Teen USA 2007. She was also the swimsuit winner. Jovana Mirabile, 17, was the first runner-up, interview winner and Miss Congeniality. Shea Casurole, 17, was the second runner-up, and Summer Bills, 15, was the third runner-up. Darcy Cramer, 16, was the fourth runner-up. Olivia Catloth, 16, was the evening wear winner and Miss Photogenic. The winners of the Peoples Choice Award were Miss Lakin Teen, Eryka Stabel, and Miss McPherson, Renee Hall. Dennis Müller, 26, competing as Mister Berlin, was chosen Mister Germany on Dec. 16, 2006. The first runner-up was Robert Segal, 31, who competed as Mister Hessen. The second runner-up was Alexander Wünsch, 21, who competed as Mister Mitteldeutschland. Micaela Reis, 18, representing the Angolan community in Portugal, was crowned Miss Angola 2007 on Dec. 16, 2007. She will represent the African nation at Miss Universe 2007 and Miss World 2007. The first runner-up was Miss Benguela, Judema Ventura, and the second runner-up was Miss Luanda, Juddy da Conceicao. Tatyana Kotova, 21, was crowned Miss Russia on Dec. 15, 2006. She will represent Russia at Miss Universe 2007 and Miss World 2007. Miss Universe, Zuleyka Rivera, and Miss World, Tatiana Kucharova, were present as guests. Lisette Garcia, 21, of Cuba was crowned Queen of the World 2006 on Dec. 12, 2006, in Mannheim, Germany. The first runner-up was Linda Zimany, 20, of Hungary, and the second runner-up was Tina Katanic, 23, of Croatia. The third runner-up was Eva Mrazikova, 20, of Slovakia, and the fourth runner-up was Angela Wang Xinru, 23, of China. Megan Coleman, 21, of Durban was crowned Miss South Africa on Dec. 9, 2006. She will represent the nation in Miss Universe 2007 and Miss World 2007. The first runner-up was Bridgid Osborne, and the second runner-up was Tracey Lee Flanders. Rachel Legrain-Trapani, 18, competing as Miss Picardie, was crowned Miss France 2007 on Dec. 9, 2006. She will compete at Miss Universe. The first runner-up was Sophie Vouzelaud, Miss Limousin, and the second runner-up was Raissa Boyer, Miss Reunion. The third runner-up was Krystel Norden, Miss Paris. Caitlin Simmons, 21, a sophomore at Oklahoma State University, was crowned Miss Oklahoma USA 2007 on Dec. 3, 2006, in Norman. She competed as Miss Jenks USA. She will represent the Sooner State at Miss USA. Jessica Gouskos, 24, was the first runner-up and interview winner. Anna Marie Costello, 20, was the second runner-up, was the evening gown winner and was chosen Miss Congeniality. Iman Hefner, 19, was the third runner-up, and Kim Shalberg, 18, was the fourth runner-up and swimsuit winner. Brooke Singletary was Miss Photogenic. Paige Hill, 15, of Tulsa was crowned Miss Oklahoma Teen USA 2007. She competed as Miss Putnam City Teen USA. She will represent Oklahoma at Miss Teen USA. Alyssa Demeter, 17, was the first runner-up and interview winner. Maggie Krattiger, 16, was the second runner-up and swimsuit winner. Leigha Davis, 18, was the third runner-up. Caitlin Marshall, 18, was the fourth runner-up. Whitney Pebsworth, 17, was Miss Congeniality. Briley Schaeffer, 17, was Miss Photogenic. Elizabeth McNulty was crowned Miss Louisiana USA on Dec. 3, 2006. The LSU graduate from Lafayette works as a magazine fashion editor. Corinn Grillot of Covington was the first runner-up, and the second runner-up was Blair Rohner of Baton Rouge, who also won preliminary swimsuit honors. The third runner-up was Jolie Williamson of Lafayette. The fourth runner-up was Calee' Guidry of Breaux Bridge. Miss Photogenic, chosen by modeling agents in New York City, was Nakina Eugene of New Orleans. Logan Travis captured the Miss Louisiana Teen USA title on the same stage and on the same night. The high school freshman from Amite also took preliminary swimsuit honors. The first runner-up was Lindsey Evans of Blanchard. The second runner-up was Karra Drummond of Baton Rouge. The third runner-up was Chelsea Henton of Kentwood. The fourth runner-up was Kelsey Bailey of Oberlin, who also was named Miss Photogenic. The crowd at the Heymann Performing Arts Center in Lafayette was wowed by the RPM Productions Asia-themed show co-produced by Donald Campbell of Atlanta, Darrell Pendergrass of Bristol, Va., and Dana Rosengard of Oklahoma City. It featured live drum and chime performances by two different groups from the percussion studies program at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. PNB thanks Mr. Rosengard for this report. Heidi Koch, 21, was crowned Miss Sachsen (Miss Saxony) on Dec. 1, 2006. She will represent the state of Sachsen in Miss Deutschland 2007 in January 2007. The first runner-up was Maria Plutz of Dresden, and the second runner-up was Katja Neumann, 21, of Neugersdorf. Janice McQueen Ward has been crowned Mrs. Radiance World 2007. Ashley Andrews, 21, competing as Miss Rodeo North Dakota, was crowned Miss Rodeo America on Dec. 3, 2006, in Las Vegas. Nadine Domroese, the younger sister of Daniela Domroese, the reigning Miss Deutschland 2006, was crowned Miss Bayern (Bavaria) on Dec. 2, 2006. She will represent the state of Bayern in the Miss Deutschland 2007 Pageant in January 2007. The first runner-up was Eliza Blättner, and the second runner-up was Sarah Zoellner. The 2008-2007 Miss Commonwealth Bahamas and Miss Teen Commonwealth Bahamas pageants were held at the Rain Forest Theatre Wyndam Nassau Resort & Crystal Palace on Nov. 26, 2006. The winner of the Miss Commonwealth Bahamas 2006-2007 contest was Miss New Providence, Reneika Knowles. The first runner-up was Miss San Salvador, Lorraine Regina Cartwright, and the second runner-up was Miss Eleuthera, Laquell Wenderia Albury. The winner of the Miss Teen Commonwealth Bahamas Pageant was Miss Inugua, Ashanteh Janelle Loretta Bain. The first runner-up was Miss Exuma, Latera Shanderia Nixon. The winners will compete in the Miss Commonwealth International and Miss Teen Commonwealth International pageants in July 2007 in London. In the last Commonwealth contest, the girls from the Bahamas won both titles. Carolin Flaig, 18, of Darmstadt was crowned Miss Hessen on Nov. 26, 2006. The first runner-up was Diana Lou Freidel, 19, of Frankfurt, and the second runner-up was Jennifer Henry, 20, of Diemelsee. Ms. Flaig will represent the German state of Hessen in Miss Deutschland 2007 in January 2007. The Florida State American Queen Pageant took place in Palm Coast, Fla., on Nov. 26, 2006. State titleholders for Florida were crowned and will represent the state at the Fifth Annual National American Queen Pageant in August in Daytona Beach. The winners are: Tia McDonald, Miss Junior Teen Florida (New Smyrna Beach), Rachel Kilman, Miss Teen Florida (New Smyrna Beach), Amanda Mazzie, Miss Florida (Palm Coast), DeAnna Emborski, Mrs. Florida (Panama City Beach), Beverly Patrick, Ms. Classic Florida (Palm Coast) Despina Delios was crowned Miss Massachusetts USA on Nov. 19, 2006, in Quincy. The first runner-up was Monica Pietrzak, and the second runner-up was Jacqueline Bruno (who was Miss Massachusetts Teen USA 2003). The third runner-up was Monique Jones (who was Miss Massachusetts Teen USA 2000), and the fourth runner-up was Kelly Donovan. Kathleen McNiff was crowned Miss Massachusetts Teen USA. The first runner-up was Alyssa Riley, the second runner-up was Lauren Tangard, the third runner-up was Suzana Deronjic and the fourth runner-up was Brina Muñoz. Ashley Zais was crowned Miss South Carolina USA on Nov. 18, 2006, in North Charleston before a crowd of nearly 1,000 people. The blue-eyed brunette from Newberry is a senior at Wofford College majoring in psychology. She has modeled in Japan and studied in Spain. She also won Miss Photogenic honors. Kristin Oates of Myrtle Beach was the first runner-up. On the same stage and night, Caitlin Upton was crowned Miss South Carolina Teen USA. The hazel-eyed blonde from Lexington is a high school senior planning a career in graphics design. She also won Miss Photogenic honors. Courtney Burke of Summerville was the first runner-up. The Jamie Shaw swimsuit awards went to Brooke Eaves of Myrtle Beach in the Teen division and to Emily Gray of Florence in the Miss division. The Dazzles Miss Congeniality winners at the pageant were Danielle Collins of Inman in the Teen division and Joycelyn McElveen of West Columbia in the Miss division. Darrell Pendergrass, Donald Campbell and Dana Rosengard managed the show and stage in the Asian-themed production that wowed the state's pageant-crazy fans. She will compete at Miss Deutschland 2007 in January 2007. The first runner-up was Victoria Wellnitz, and the second runner-up was Maria Plutz. Emanuel Burger, 21, of Hard, Austria, was chosen Mister Austria 2006 on Nov. 11, 2006, in Linz. The first runner-up was Gernot Heiss, 24, of Haid, and the second runner-up was Johannes Sandhofer, 26, of Mayrhofen. Alycia McCullough was crowned Miss Greater Johnstown and Brittny Sparrow was crowned Miss Cambria County, Pa., at a joint pageant in November 2006 in Johnstown, Pa. Both will compete at the Miss Pennsylvania Pageant. Amy Swonger was the first runner-up to both. Lucy Hazelet was the third runner-up. Two young women were selected to participate in Pennsylvania's Outstanding Teen Pageant -- MacKenzie Bart, Johnstown's Outstanding Teen, and Calsie Boyd, Cambria County's Outstanding Teen. PNB was there and is grateful for the hospitality. Melissa Staley has been crowned Miss Coulee Region 2007 at the second annual pageant in Viroqua, Wis. Kim Hart was the first runner-up, and Tracy MacKinnon was the second runner-up. Tiffany Krohn was the third runner-up, and Sarah Chandler was the fourth runner-up. Additional awards were handed out to Ms. Hart, who was chosen Miss Congeniality by the 2007 contestants and Miss Coulee Regions Hostess. Anna Pedretti received the Community Service Award and the Swimwear Award. The Academic award was given to Rose Mary Peters, and the Talent award was presented to Linda Deyarmin. Brittany Swann was crowned Miss Georgia USA on Nov. 11, 2006, in the town of Newnan. She is from Peachtree City and will represent the Peach State at Miss USA. Jena Sims of Winder was crowned Miss Georgia Teen USA. She will compete at Miss Teen USA. Elise Rooker, a singer, was crowned Miss Staten Island on Nov. 4, 2006, and will represent that distinctive part of New York City in the Miss New York Pageant, a preliminary to Miss America. The first runner-up was Melissa Robson, and the second runner-up was Jaclyn Mercandetti. The other runners-up were Elizabeth Prestano and Kara Criscitello. Among the judges was PNB photographer Joe Whiteko, and an upcoming feature will describe the memorable events of the evening and the personalities on hand. Until then, we wish to extend our thanks to the Miss State Island organizers. Danielle Lloyd was stripped of her title as Miss Great Britain on Nov. 2, 2006, after publicity surrounding her upcoming appearance in Playboy magazine and after her disclosure that she was dating pageant judge Terry Sheringham at the time she won. She had previously claimed he became her boyfriend later. She appears nude in the December 2006 issue of Playboy, which hit newsstands early in November, but her upcoming appearance had been public knowledge for weeks. Kate Moss, the British supermodel whose troubles with drugs have been public knowledge, won the Model of the Year prize at the British Fashion Awards on Nov. 2, 2006. Ms. Moss, once known for the waif look, has apologized for her past drug problems. Lauren Zumpino was crowned Miss Central Pennsylvania and Rachel E. Henry has been crowned Miss Greater Juniata Valley at a joint pageant held Oct. 28, 2006, in Lewistown, Pa. The first runner-up was Sarah Elizabeth Timm, and the second runner-up was Melanie Hildebrant. The third runner-up was Courtney Elizabeth Thomas. Ms. Tim won the Talent Award and the Jacqui Yanoshik Memorial Interview Award. Ms. Zumpino won the Eveningwear Award in honor of Miss New York 1943, Dawn Gruenwald. The Shannon Lloyd Memorial Dance Award went to Anastasia Elmiger. The Lifestyle and Fitness in Swimsuit Award went to Ms. Zumpino. The Jacqui Yanoshik Memorial Non-Finalist Interview Award went to Christina Maureen Keegan. The Non-Finalist Talent Award went to Ms. Elmiger, and the Newcomer Award went to Ms. Timm. The Encouragement Award went to Ms. Elmiger, and the People's Choice Award went to Taiyyibah I. Malik. Elena Flora Laquatra was crowned Miss Central Pennsylvania's Outstanding Teen. The first runner-up was Courtni Frey-Rudy, and the second runners-up (tied) were Jill C. Wiley and Mackenzie V. Bart. The Talent Award went to Ms. Wiley, and the People's Choice Award to Ms. Frey-Rudy. Erin O'Kelley has been crowned Miss North Carolina USA 2007. The North Carolina State University junior was one of 84 delegates in the state pageant held on Oct. 27 and Oct. 28, 2006, in High Point. Ms. O'Kelley was Miss North Carolina Teen USA 2001, and this was her first attempt at the Miss title. The first runner-up was Jessica Floyd, a senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Earlier in the evening, Katie Coble was crowned Miss North Carolina Teen USA. The high school junior from Matthews was fourth runner-up in the state pageant last year. Her first runner-up from among 86 contestants was Jocelyn Hunt of Raeford. Dr. Dana Rosengard of the University of Oklahoma served as co-producer and master of ceremonies of the North Carolina USA pageants for the eleventh year. She also was chosen Miss Congeniality. Candice Crawford was the first runner-up. Amber Watson was the second runner-up. Stacey Smith was the third runner-up. Caitlin McIntosh was the fourth runner-up and received the Mentor award from the Teens. Rekha Muddaraj was chosen Miss Photogenic. Lauren Petersen, 16, who represented Francois County, was crowned Miss Missouri Teen USA 2007. She was honored for special achievement in the evening gown category. Lacie Hill was the fourth runner-up. Emma McDaniel was chosen Miss Congeniality. Ashley Strohmier was the first runner-up and won a special achievement award in swimsuit. Emily Jones was the second runner-up and won a special award in interview. Samantha Shackelford was the third runner-up. Emma McDaniel was Miss Congeniality. Britny Miranda Miller won the Photogenic award. Miss USA 2004, Missouri native Shandi Finnessey, emceed the event. Alexandra Rosenfeld of France was crowned Miss Europe 2006 on Oct. 27, 2006, in Kiev, Ukraine. The first runner-up was Alena Avramenko of Ukraine. The second runner-up was Laura Ojeda of Spain. The third runner-up was Katarzyna Borowicz of Poland, and the fourth runner-up was Yulia Sindzeyeva of Belarus. Kendra Mellisa Reyes, 19, has been named Miss Caribbean America. She will represent the United States at the Miss Carabes-Hibiscus Pageant in Saint-Martin. Gaukhar Rakhmetalyeva was crowned Miss Kazakhstan 2006 on Oct. 21, 2006, and will represent the Central Asian nation in Miss Universe 2007. Marina Simijonovic, 22, of Bonn was crowned Miss Nordrhein-Westfalen 2006 on Oct. 26, 2006. She is of Balkan origin and will represent Germany's most populous state, Nordrhein-Westfalen, at Miss Deutschland (Germany Universe) 2007. Maria Beall has accepted the title of Mrs. American Beauty. The American Beauty pageant to determine her successor will be held in San Antonio in July 2007. Cara Morrison, 12, of Cedar Park, Texas, has been crowned as Miss Pre-teen Dream Girls Cedar Park. Miss Slovak Republic, Kartrina Manova, was crowned Miss Intercontinental on Oct. 15, 2006, in Nassau, Bahamas. The first runner-up was Vanessa Claudio of Puerto Rico, who also won Miss Congeniality. The second runner-up was Miss Martinique, Sarasvati Luthbert. Other finalists were Miss Greater Antillies, Sheila Ynoa, and Miss Germany, Nathalie Ackermann. Natalia Guimaraes of Brazil was chosen Miss Photogenic, and Miss Korea, Song Ilyaooung, won the best costume award. Miss Egypt, Salma El Basuoni, was honored for best evening gown, and Miss Colombia, Llianna Morales, was honored for best body. Sabrina Müller, 20, of Bad Orb, Germany, is the winner of "Miss Rhein-Main-Net 2006," chosen through online voting. The first runner-up to this honor is Hanna Woeller, 26, of Asslar. The Miss Hessen Organization has decided to allow both into the Miss Hessen state pageant in December 2006. The winner of Miss Hessen will go on to compete in Miss Deutschland (Germany Universe) 2007 on Jan. 20, 2007. Miss Earth China 2006 was held in Beijing on Oct. 9, 2006. Crowned Miss Earth China was Zhou Mong Ting, 17, a student from Jiangshu province. She was also appointed the Green Ambassador for China. She will represent China in the Miss Earth 2006 Pageant. Miss Earth China Air was Li Fei Fei, 19, of West China's Xin Jiang Province. Miss Earth China Water was Cai Chen, 17 of Shanghai. Miss Earth China Fire was Yang Ya Nan, 20, of Beijing. The event was attended by top officials from the China National Environment Agencies. Geneice Wilcher was crowned Miss Nebraska USA on Oct. 8, 2006, in Norfolk, Neb. She was also Miss Photogenic. The first runner-up was Lauren Tonniges. The second runner-up was Suzy Stark, and the third runner-up was Molly Liebentritt. The fourth runner-up was Jessica Cihacek. Alejandra Jimenez was Miss Congeniality. Lauren Clabaugh was crowned Miss Nebraska Teen USA. Nichole Scharf was the first runner-up, and Amelia Clegg was the second runner-up. Melissa Sissel was the third runner-up, and Jessica White was the fourth runner-up. Alicia J. Lewis, a graduate student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, has been crowned Miss UAB 2007. She won the talent award and her fourth trip to the Miss Alabama Pageant. The former Miss Jefferson County was fourth runner-up at the state in 2006, Top 10 as Miss Mobile Bay in 2005 and, as Miss Montgomery, was a Non-finalist Talent Award winner in 2004. The first runner-up at the Miss UAB Pageant was Carson Tallent. The second runner-up was Jennifer Holcomb, who also won the community service award. The third runner-up was Brittany Mays, and the fourth runner-up was Carly Lunceford. The Mrs. Sweetheart, Classic Sweetheart and Senior Sweetheart of Singapore 2006 Pageant was held on Sept. 30, 2006. The winner in the Senior Sweetheart category will represent Singapore at International Sweetheart in Massachusetts in late October and early November. The winner and runners-up in the Mrs. Sweetheart category (ages 30-43) are as follows: Adeline Sim - Mrs Sweetheart of Singapore 2006. She also won Most Photogenic. The first runner-up was Voo Choon Lin, who also was Plush Beautiful Skin winner . The second runner-up was Justina Ho, who also won Mrs P.R.I.M.E. Award. The third runner-up was Doris Tan, and the fourth runner-up was Wenda Ong. Winners in the Classic and Senior Sweetheart Category (44 and above) are as follows: Katin Tan - Classic Sweetheart of Singapore 2006. She also won Senior P.R.I.M.E. and Plush Beautiful Skin honors. Irene Lim – Senior Sweetheart of Singapore 2006. She also won the Congeniality Award. The first runner- up was Linda Ong, and the second runner-up was Evelyn Quek, who also won the Supermodel Award. The third runner- up was Malee Tong, who also won the Crowning Glory Award. Dana Brooks, a 17, was crowned Miss Connecticut Teen America 2007 in Windsor Locks on Oct. 1, 2006. She also won the Talent, Evening Gown, Interview, Photogenic and Community Service awards. She will compete at the national Miss Teen America Pageant in Nashville in July 2007. The first runner-up was Miss Wolcott Teen, Iris Watkins, and the second runner-up was Miss Waterbury Teen, Naomi Lemire, recipient of the Fitness Award and Miss Congeniality. Annalisa Sega, 10, of Southington was crowned Miss Connecticut Jr. Teen America 2007. She also won the Jr. Teen Photogenic and Talent Awards. The first runner-up was Miss Shelton Jr. Teen, Kristyn Andrade, who was the recipient of the Jr. Teen Casual Wear Award and received the Miss Ambassador title for ad sales. Sarah Boilard, Miss Hartford County Jr. Teen, was the second runner-up and won the Jr. Teen Interview, and Evening Wear Awards. Kristine Pakalnis, Miss Naugatuck Jr. Teen, received the Jr. Teen Fitness Award. Macy Erwin, 16, competing as Miss Hamilton County, was crowned Miss Tennessee Teen USA 2007 on Oct. 7, 2006, in Clarksville, Tenn. She will represent the state at Miss Teen USA. Keriann Johnson was the first runner-up. Others among the top 5 were Brie'Anna Garrison, Chloe Potts and Hannah Darnell. Shelby Thompson won the People's Choice and Miss Congeniality awards. Rachel Smith, coincidentally a Clarksville resident, was crowned Miss Tennessee USA 2007. She will compete at Miss USA. The first runner-up was Tyre Nelson, and the second runner-up was Karmen Cordell. The third runner-up was Stephanie Watson, and the fourth runner-up was Stacy Reigle, 20. Amber Warren, 20, was named Miss Congeniality. The People’s Choice winner was Mallorye Cheers, and Miss Photogenic was Ashley Widener. Melissa Marin, 18, of Cranston, R.I., was crowned Miss Latina US on Sept. 29, 2006, in West Springfield, Mass. At the same event, Karla Acosta, 17, of West Palm Beach, Fla., was crowned Miss Teen US Latina. Both are immigrants, Ms. Marin being a native of Colombia and Ms. Acosta a native of El Salvador. Beautician Alice Loh was crowned Miss Malaysia Earth International 2006 in Penang on Sept. 30, 2006. Ms. Loh, 25, of Perlis, will represent the country at Miss Earth International 2006 in the Philippines in November 2006. She also won the Miss Personality subsidiary title. The first runner-up, Miss (Malaysia) Earth Air, was Stephanie Ooi, 24, of Penang. She is a former finalist at Miss Universe Malaysia. The second runner-up, Miss Earth (Malaysia) Water, was Marlene Lim, 22, of Sarawak. She also won the Miss Talent subsidiary title. The third runner-up was Rebecca Casilda Bernald of Selangor. Rebecca Simon, 22, of Struth, Germany, was crowned Miss Thueringen 2006 (Universe) on Oct. 2, 2006, in Erfurt, Germany. She will represent the state of Thueringen in Miss Deutschland 2007 on Jan. 20, 2007. The first runner-up was Florence Randrianarisoa, 19, of Wutha-Farnroda. The second runner-up was Rebecca Krieg, 18, of Erfurt.
