Pageant News Bureau - Miss Massachusetts USA 2007

When somebody mentions Massachusetts, you probably think of women in bonnets and men in funny hats, getting to know the Indians over a meal of fire-roasted turkey. Maybe you think of Paul Revere's midnight ride -- the original wake-up call. Perhaps the Boston Tea Party comes to mind. (It may sound unpatriotic, but throwing away good tea was silly.)

If a mention of Massachusetts makes you think of pageants, well, that's more like it. You know that it has produced two Miss USAs in the past decade, and that its pageant girls have gone on to big things in Hollywood. You even know that in the fall of 2006, PNB accepted an invitation to visit the 2007 Miss Massachusett USA-Miss Massachusetts Teen USA Pageant.

OK, if you know so much, there's no need for us to go on. We will just refresh your memory, show you some lovely pictures of the Massachusetts beauties, and lapse into silence.

Despina Delios was crowned Miss Massachusetts USA 2007. The first runner-up was Monica Pietrzak, and the second runner-up was Jacqueline Bruno (Miss Massachusetts Teen USA 2003). The third runner-up was Monique Jones (Miss Massachusetts Teen USA 2000) and the fourth runner-up was Kelly Donovan. Katie McNiff was crowned Miss Massachusetts Teen USA 2007. The first runner-up was Alyssa Riley, and the second runner-up was Lauren Tangard. The third runner-up was Suzana Deronjic, and the fourth runner-up was Brina Muñoz.

But wait. Did you know Massachusetts may change its nickname from the "Bay State" to the "Babe State." Did you know that Walden Pond may be renamed Pageant Pond?
