Party heatPhotos by Joe Whiteko / PNB | ![]()

| People say we've gone batty for writing about summer beauty queens when it's supposed to be fall. But they said Al Gore was crazy, too, and he shared in the Nobel Peace Prize on Oct. 12, 2007. Gore won his award telling the world about global warming. We at PNB have the same message, only we are using a different "scientific model." Her name is Jena Sims. |

| Somebody said Jena could melt an iceberg. Maybe she could, and maybe the gorgeous ladies at her sendoff party could do the same. Brittany Swann, Sandy Dean, Lisa Wilson, to name a few. But it's too late now to find out whether the icebergs could withstand these babes. The icebergs already went the way of the 10-cent snow cone, melted by millions of fiery carbon footprints. Yeah, we mean global warming. Pardon us for repeating ourselves. |

| Jena's sendoff party for her trip to Miss Teen USA was at the beginning of August 2007. There was a heat wave like Georgia had never seen. It was summer through and through. The heat wave let up a little, and Jena did not win that particular contest. But the summer has not gone away. It's now an endless summer in a phony fall. Thank heaven the babes are real. Otherwise this year-round summer would be too much. |
